Maria Khmeleva was born on September 16, 2000. In 2018, she graduated from the Gymnasium №9 in Yekaterinburg and entered the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University.
Her project at the second course was devoted to the study of nanosensors based on carbon dots to determine the pH and temperature of liquid media. Her bachelor's work was devoted to the influence of surface functionalization of carbon dots on their photoluminescent properties in suspensions.
At present time, she is studying at the Department of Quantum Electronics in the master's program "Biomedical Photonics".
