The conference was held for the second time since 2020 in Krasnoyarsk on the basis of the Siberian Federal University. According to the organizers, this year the number of participants has increased multiple times. There were cases when so many people came to the sections that they literally had to stand in the aisle to listen to interesting reports, ask questions, exchange contacts and participate in discussions that often flowed into the lobby. The participants noted that the conference was held at a high level: the organizers thought through the scientific and cultural programs to the smallest detail, prepared a lot of handouts, organized accommodation in a comfortable dormitory of the university.
The conference was attended by many students, postgraduates and young scientists, taking part in the competition of the best reports. The work of our 2nd year master student Galina Chugreeva, dedicated to the development of an optical carbon dots-based nanosensor of heavy metal cations in liquid media, was awarded the first place.
"It was unexpected and very pleasant. It is incredibly important to realize the recognition of your work and the obtained results by the scientific community! The conference gave me an incredible experience! I am very pleased that in Russia, far from the capital cities, there are universities where scientific research is carried out at the highest level, there are dynamically developing cities where people live, burning with their work. It's great that doing science, you can travel a lot, acquiring acquaintances, discovering something new every time. I would like to express my great gratitude to the Laboratory staff for their joint work, assistance in preparing the speech and the opportunity to present the results of the work to the scientific community!" - says Galina.
